Jedward fans in tears as they share heartbreaking tribute mum after cancer death

Jedward's fans were left in tears after listening to the lads heartbreaking tribute to their mum who died from cancer last year.

Twins Edward and John, who rose to fame on the X Factor with their catchy songs and tall blonde hair which stood up on top of their heads, appeared on the Irish Late Late Show with presenter Ryan Tubridy to talk about their grief.

The 28-year-old's mum Susanna died last year following a five year battle with cancer.

Edward said on the show: "Our mum, five years ago, found out she had leukaemia and kidney failure in the same day."

He continued: "It was all a bit too much. The thing about it was that mum kept living her life.

"We were there when she passed and were able to hold her hand. We listened to Fleetwood Mac."

Edward's twin John added: "It's very disheartening to think she won't be at our weddings, won't meet our kids, but we always keep her spirit alive."

The pair then dedicated a very moving rendition of REM's Everybody Hurts to their beautiful mum.

The performance left fans in tears as they rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the duos rendition.

One viewer tweeted: "Thank you for talking about important issues. Their performance was so emotional I’m still crying."

Another wrote: "I’m literally crying John and Edward were so wonderful in the interview and that live cover dedicated to momma Jedward got me so emotional I felt it omg have so much love and respect for our angels."

It comes after the pair slammed JK Rowling and her new book which has caused controversy online.

The Harry Potter author, who has offended with her views of trans women recently, is set to release a new book which reportedly tells the story of a cisgender male – a man who identifies as a man – who dresses as a woman in order to kill women.

They wrote to their 615,300 followers: "Does anyone need firewood this winter? JK's new book is perfect to burn next to a romantic fire. Aww get all cosy and comfy, can't wait."
