Kate Beckinsale fears shell be absolutely f***ed as she returns to West End

Kate Beckinsale is set to return to London’s West End.

The Daily Star Sunday can reveal the Hollywood actress has signed up to star in a show in 2023.

She told us: “I’m doing a play in London next year. Doing a play is hard work and that’s the aspect one is concerned about.

“I will be nervous. And I don’t drink or do drugs, so I’ll be absolutely f***ed! It’ll just be raw terror.

“But it will be really nice. It’s important when you do movies a lot to do things that have an actual audience because it’s such a magical relationship, especially if it’s a comedy.”

Kate has put off her return to the West End for a while to focus on being a mum.

She added: “For years I liked to put my daughter to bed at night. But she doesn’t want me to do that now because she’s 23. So I can do a play.”

Kate previously revealed to Daily Star that despite living in America, she was hooked on Love Island which came to a dramatic end last week.

She said: "I have been watching Love Island and I’m enjoying it.

"I think it’s like watching true crime… you can’t stop. It’s like a car crash. I love it.

“Because I live in America, I get excited about slightly naff English things like Love Island and Pot Noodles and things.”

But while she was a huge fan of the ITV2 dating programme, she admitted she couldn't picture herself taking part.

Speaking at the National Film Awards, she said: “I am glad I’m not in it. I think it looks like hell. It looks like my worst nightmare.

“First of all, I hate dating and second of all I don’t like being at a pool with a lot of people I don’t know.

“I don’t want to be part of it. And no one in my family would let me anywhere near reality TV!”

Kate is also hooked on Celebrity Gogglebox, Celebrity Big Brother and Loose Women.

Following the news about Big Brother returning to ITV, she added: “I am hoping they bring back Celebrity Big Brother because that was my joy of the year.”
