Lewis Capaldi offering free gig tickets to Tinder matches in quest for romance

Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi is taking his love quest online after signing up to popular dating platform Tinder.

Over the last 24 hours, Capaldi, who is known for his love-struck ballads, has had his actual Tinder profile plastered across the UK on bus shelters, tubes and billboards – and revealed he'll be awarding free gig tickets to lucky fans who match with him.

With conversation building on social media, the Scottish sweetheart confirmed the Tinder profile spotted up and down the UK really is his, and he hopes to find love on the UK’s most popular dating app.

And confirming his profile is the real deal and not a catfish, he’s been given a blue tick verification on his Tinder profile.

To be in with a chance of winning tickets, fans need to swipe right and match with the Somebody You Loved hitmaker.

Not only will Lewis be taking a lucky match to New York, but with the help of Tinder, he’ll be giving away tickets to his sold out shows all over the UK.

Despite his witty banter and luscious locks, the lovable Glaswegian has spoken at length about his dating troubles and lack of matches on Tinder.

He said: "I'm very excited to have teamed up with the people at Tinder to give two lucky people the chance to fly out to New York to meet your favourite big lovely handsome celebrity (me).

"I’m yet to find love and Tinder Gold is the only lifeline I have left before I’m resigned to a lifetime living at home with my mother."

It's not the first time the musician has spoken about his dating woes.

Discussing his romantic escapades, or lack thereof, Lewis told NME earlier this year he wanted his profile to reflect how he was "a chubby guy, a bit weird looking, who sings songs which are all sad.”

He said: “Well, my Tinder bio for the minute is: "BRITs Critics Choice nominee, I almost scored a top bin once on Soccer AM (not televised), I have one dog and I’m very good at fighting.

"It’s a barren experience for me, man. I’m not very successful at all.”

We're pretty certain ladies will be swiping right, Lewis.
