Nicole and Lewis struck up a romance after meeting backstage at the EMAS, but called it a day in 2015.
Just months after the split, the sportsman admitted he had "lost someone special in his life".
"I wear my heart on my sleeve and it is hard to hide my emotions," he told Sky Sports.
"I'm trying my hardest to be positive but I’m going through a really, really tough time at the moment with the loss of someone really, really special in my life."
