Piers Morgan to ‘go nuclear’ in tell-all interview after Meghan controversy
Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan says he wants to provide America with the "full facts" on Meghan Markle in a tell-all interview on American TV on Monday night.
According to reports, Piers, 56, is planning to “go nuclear” in his interview on Monday evening with Fox Nation’s Tucker Carlson, as the presenter thought carefully about which platform he would air his views on.
Talking to The Sun an insider said: “Piers knows full well that he is talking to a tough crowd in America.
"The majority of people across the States love Meghan and Harry. The Oprah interview sent shockwaves around America and, if anything, only made them even more popular and interesting to people there."
The source also explained several Americans have not followed all the twists and turns since the interview and Piers is very eager to let people know what exactly happened next.
The insider continued: “Some of what Meghan and Harry said has already unravelled – like the suggestion they were married in secret before their wedding. And the fact Meghan freely travelled the world despite claiming her passport was taken away."
The insider also mentioned that many Americans are unaware of the Royal Family’s reaction to the story and that their recollection of events differs from Meghan’s claims. Piers is keen to demystify certain matters and air his thoughts regarding the interview.
In a recent clip, Tucker Carlson promoted his interview: "So Piers Morgan was banished from television for asking a simple question: how is it that the most privileged people in our society get away with posing as the most oppressed?
"For asking that, they crushed him and took his job away. On Monday we will speak to Piers Morgan for his first interview on live television since he was cancelled.”
Since his on-air feud with presenter Alex Beresford which saw him dramatically storm off set, outspoken Piers took to Twitter and branded the Duchess a “fake virtue-signalling hypocrite” and criticised Oprah’s approach with the interview.
