Tracy Beaker star totally unrecognisable in glam snaps 16 years after CBBC show

Tracy Parker actress Deepal Parmar was known for her feisty personality in the hit CBBC programme Tracy Beaker, often instilling fear in other characters.

Deepal played the formidable Chantel Wellard, the eldest of the terrifying Wellard clan who frequently terrorist the residents of Elmtree House and Stowey House.

While little is known about why the Wellards ended up in the care of social services, Chantel's mum and dad split before she found a new man and gave birth to younger brother Rio.

Their mum later split from Rio's dad before finding love again and giving birth to Roxy, the youngest of the siblings.

Nowadays, Deepal, 33, looks nothing like her character who was known for her dark clothing, black eyeliner, bright highlights and stone-cold personality.

The actress often shares a glimpse into her life with her 2000 Instagram followers including behind-the-scenes snaps from television sets and glamourous award shows.

One snap saw the star don a black crop top paired with a cream blazer and trousers alongside a black and gold Gucci belt as she struck up a pose in a mirror.

Her brunette tresses were styled into loose natural waves, cascading freely over her shoulders before resting on her chest, while she offered a smile to the camera.

Her followed instantly flocked to the compliments to gush over the star, with one writing: "Bombshell."

A second penned: "Looking the business," alongside a heart eye emoji.

"Everything," everything gushed a third.

Having appeared in 23 episodes of Tracy Beaker from 2005, Deepal walked away from the hit programme in the third episode of series five, airing on November 29, 2005.

Since then, she's gone on to have a stellar career in television with several acting credits under her belt.

Seven years after leaving The Story of Tracy Beaker, she starred in the short film Action, before taking on the role of Luna in the 2014 film Yolo.

Two years later, Deepal appeared on BBC's Doctors playing Nadiya Malik for one episode, with her character's baby suffering from a heart defect.

Her character believes this could be due to her and the baby's dad Fazal being cousins.

Nadiya attempted to crash her car leaving Fazel to believe that she was trying to induce harm to herself and their then unborn child.

Deepal's most recent credit saw her take on the role of Amina in the 2022 Sky Originals series, Devils which sees a global financial conspiracy uncovered by a group of traders at a large bank.
