Why Fans Think Cardi B Is Naive For Not Believing Offset's Latest Cheating Rumors
Cardi B and Offset are one of the most iconic couples in the music industry. The two rose to fame around the same time and have gone through the struggles and rewards of fame all while coping with the demands of the industry and building a relationship.
While many fans love them as a couple, others aren’t so sure. After all, Offset publicly cheated on Cardi B, which many believe is a breach of trust that cannot be repaired.
Recently, more cheating allegations surfaced, causing fans to question whether or not Cardi B should continue to trust the Migos rapper. Read on to learn about Cardi B and Offset’s relationship history, why they broke up the first time, what the new cheating allegations reveal, and what fans are saying about their romance.
When did Cardi B and Offset start dating?
In early 2017, Cardi B stepped out with Migos rapper Offset. The hot new couple immediately got fans talking, with everyone wanting to know everything that they could about the romance.
Over the next several months, they were seen at a wide variety of industry events and even worked together on collaborations. In October 2017, they got engaged, proclaiming their love for each other on social media.
However, only two months after getting engaged, videos started circulating on social media that showed Offset getting intimate with several women. The videos were quickly followed by many other women claiming that Offset had cheated on Cardi B with them.
Cardi B has stuck by Offset
In spite of the very serious allegations, Cardi B has stood by Offset, clearly wanting to try and make it work for the sake of their young daughter, Kulture, who was born in July 2018. In the year since the cheating rumors first began, Cardi B and Offset have remained together, although many fans question whether or not it is the best thing for Cardi B.
In a recent interview, the rapper stated that she knew people were “disappointed in her” for staying with Offset but that “everybody has issues” and that she wanted to continue to work on her relationship.
Cardi B recently talked to Vogue about how they repaired their relationship and why she forgave Offset: “Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world. He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most. Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your ass if you cheat on me.”
What are the latest cheating rumors?
In early December 2019, almost a full year after the first cheating scandal, a new series of rumors emerged. Jade, the girlfriend of imprisoned star Tekashi 6ix9ine, spoke out and claimed that Offset had sent her intimate private messages. She even tagged Cardi B in her post and posted a picture of what appeared to be a screenshot of the message from Offset.
However, Cardi B responded almost immediately, stating that Jade’s claims were ridiculous and that Offset “ain’t crazy.” For his part, Offset posted that he had been hacked and that any private messages that might be sent through his account weren’t actually being sent by him.
Fans don’t believe that Offset is innocent
While Cardi B might be standing by her man, Cardi B’s legions of fans aren’t exactly buying his story. Many of them feel as though Offset has mistreated Cardi B with his previous cheating and that these latest accusations are proof positive that he will continue to cheat on his wife.
Social media users have been very vocal about the scandal, calling out Offset for “embarrassing” Cardi B and even claiming that Cardi B is just defending her wandering husband yet again. Whether or not Offset actually sent the messages might never be revealed, but for now, the musically-inclined couple is staying mum about how the scandal is affecting their relationship.
