Alison Hammond tells pals she does not want Holly Willoughby's job on This Morning

SHE’S become the darling of daytime telly since teaming up with Dermot O'Leary on This Morning.

So no wonder bosses think Alison Hammond is the natural successor to Holly Willoughby.

I told last month how ITV see Alison & Dermot as the future of the show after success hosting Friday editions.

But I understand the bubbly Brummie isn’t so sure and felt like one day in the hot seat was enough.

A TV insider said: “Alison loves being part of This Morning but she knows taking on hosting duties full time would mean a long daily commute.

“Her son is everything to her and a good work life balance is really important.

“It’s just not the right time.”

Alison appears to be so set on the decision, she’s even tipped pal Rochelle Humes for the job.

The friend added: “She said to them, if Holly goes I don’t want it. Give it to Roch.”
The shake-up could be around the corner.

This month Holly said she was preparing herself for a further career challenge in activism.

And Rochelle appears to be ready to follow in the blonde’s footsteps.

She has copied Holly by quitting YMU, the showbiz agency they once shared with Phillip Schofield.

And in another copycat move, she has set up her own agency, The RH Group, just like Holly founded Roxy.

Talk about girl power!

SEXY supergeek Louis Theroux looks set to send his army of adoring fans into a frenzy – by posing TOPLESS.

The documentary maker says he has fab abs, having spent lockdown following Joe Wicks's fitness plans.

He told Chris Evans' How To Wow podcast: “I’m not going to say I’m ripped, it’s not for me to say, but people say I look better.

“I feel like I’ve got my six-pack and a positive attitude and every day I think: ‘I wonder if I should tweet myself with my shirt off, showing off my six-pack.’ Then I think: ‘That’s not who you are, Louis.’”

I say go for it, Louis, I’ve been considering doing the same thing myself.

PAUL GASCOIGNE’s son Regan could do worse than look to big sister Bianca for inspiration as prepares to go on Dancing on Ice.

Gazza’s daughter certainly seems to be making a big impression showing off her moves on Italian dance show, Ballando Con Le Stelle.

Bianca seemed to be channelling a superhero, and pulled out an athletic routine that could see her scoop a medal in the Olympics.

So the pressure’s on for Regan, who’s partnered with Karina Manta on DOI when it returns to ITV in January.

As his dad will tell him, these contests can all end in tears . . .

SHE has just finished playing the lead in ITV’s harrowing thriller Angela Black – but one of Joanne Froggatt's most traumatic memories was putting her foot in it during a royal tour of the Downton Abbey set.

Joanne played maid Anna Bates in the hit period drama and met the Duchess of Cambridge in Lady Mary’s bedroom, along with co-star Michelle Dockery.

Joanne told That Gaby Roslin Podcast: “Kate says: ‘Oh, it feels ever so strange to be in your bedroom’, and I was like: ‘Yes, not many people get to come in Lady Mary’s bedroom’.

“And then I just stopped…I could see a twinkle in her eye because I didn’t realise what I said until it was out of my mouth.

"And then my jaw dropped open and I just thought: ‘Jo, stop talking, just stop’.”

PETER JACKSON had to convince Disney to break its non-swearing rule for his new documentary The Beatles: Get Back

The filmmaker told Radio Times: “The Beatles are Scouse boys and they freely swear.”

GINO D’ACAMPO joked his ITV show with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix had been axed in a cheeky social media post.

Their ITV series Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, sees them embark on food adventures across the globe with plenty of hijinks in between.

Gino teased a new production with Fred and his sporran named Justin.

He wrote: “Breaking News… unfortunately we will no longer be filming #GordonGinoandFred mainly because @gordongram is too busy working on his hair highlights in USA.

“But don’t worry guys, @fred_sirieix and I have a plan #JustinGinoandFred Coming soon…….GDx.”

Fans failed to see Gino was joking, with one commenting: “Noooo!!!!!! Please reunite the trio!”
