BBC Breakfast hosts missing from studio AGAIN as viewers rage 'what is going on?!' | The Sun

JON Kay and Sally Nugent were both missing from the BBC Breakfast studio again during a major format change.

The BBC presenters are normally seen in the Salford studio together, but they ditched the red sofa for the second time this week on Tuesday morning.

On Monday, the hosts travelled to separate parts of the UK to provide special coverage of the Queen's death.

Jon had appeared live from Edinburgh to mark the arrival of the Queen's coffin from Balmoral, while Sally anchored the show from Buckingham Palace in London.

But the studio shake-up hadn't changed on Tuesday as Jon was back in Edinburgh this morning and Sally was still at Buckingham Palace.

Jon was stood in front of St Giles' Cathedral where the Queen's coffin was placed to rest for 24 hours for members of the public to pay their respects.

Viewers were shown a live shot of mourners lining up to enter the cathedral after queuing through the night.

Opening the show, Jon said: "Good morning, welcome to Tuesday's programme, and it's an extraordinary sight isn't it? The people you're seeing now have queued for hours.

"Some of them six, seven hours through a chilly Edinburgh night to enter St Giles' Cathedral and to file past the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II."

However, some of those tuning into the show asked when the "wall to wall" coverage of Her Majesty's death was going to end.
