Sally appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday but missed Wednesday's episode..
It comes after reports that Sally has split from her husband Gavin Hawthorn after 13 years of marriage.
According to MailOnline, the TV presenter has been left "devastated".
A source told the publication: "It's very sad but they are no longer together.
"I think they tried to tough it out for quite a while as they didn't want to split up if they could possibly help it for the sake of their son but they clearly couldn't make a go of it.
"They've both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it's been plain for a while that they had been and now it's obvious that they haven't been able to resolve that despite clearly trying for some time."
Her career has gone from strength to strength after leaving her career as a sports journalist to sit on the red sofa as a permanent presenter.
Sally is now a much-loved host on the BBC morning show after replacing Louise Minchin in 2021.
Gavin, 52, has moved on from a senior marketing role at Pets at Home to investing in a local franchise for The Massage Company.
The couple share a teenage son together and Sally is yet to address the reported split.
She has never spoken publicly about the identity of her husband and only shares minimal information in her biography which is written on the BBC Breakfast website.
It simply reads thatshe is "married with one child – a football and rugby-mad boy".
