Since its premiere in 2007, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory was an instant hit. Its success even led to its own spin-off show, Young Sheldon. Star, Jim Parsons recently spoke out about the moment a scene had to be scrapped.
The Big Bang Theory is loved for its quirky and often scientific jokes, which its fans often quote.
One joke that actor Jim Parsons believed fans would’ve also loved got axed and didn’t make it to screens.
Viewers will know that Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons) loved star wars and often included it into any story he would tell.
In an interview with Conan, Jim revealed the joke that had to be scrapped did indeed revolve around the intergalactic universe.

He said: “ They wanted me to wear Princess Leila’s slave bikini”, to which he said no to straightaway.
“I didn’t want you to see my situation,” Jim said pointing to his midsection.
As Princess Leila’s outfit was a gold bikini top, it would’ve been impossible to his midsection in the revealing outfit.
Despite the bikini no making it to the screens, Sheldon has dressed up in some costumes that got fans of the show laughing.
In season five, episode 21, Sheldon paraded around in an effort to meet his idol, Stephen Hawking.
After hearing that Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) was working with his idol, Howard dared Sheldon to do a number of things for a chance to meet him.
As well as wearing the French maid outfit, Sheldon also had to polish Howard’s entire collection of belt buckles and do his laundry.
Luckily it pays off and Sheldon meets Stephen Hawking, who even makes an appearance on screen.
Speaking on the French maid outfit Jim said: “I got a French maid uniform instead which I considered a real deal and it covered the midsection.”

The rest of the cast also dress up in outfits for the show, in the episode titled The Justice League Recombination, Sheldon and his friends joined a competition at a comic book store to win the best group costume prize.
Each person dressed up as the heroes from the DC’s Justice League, with Sheldon as The Flash and Howard dressed as Batman.
In the interview with Conan, Jim admitted that he doesn’t find it mean or embarrassing and that the cast members are made aware of any costume ideas in advance and have the freedom to turn them down.
The Big Bang Theory came to an end in 2019 after filming 12 seasons.
The spin-off show Young Sheldon follows the childhood of the lead character Sheldon Cooper.
