Tonight, newcomers MP Matt Hancock and comedian Seann Walsh entered the I’m A Celebrity Jungle after competing in the Beastly Burrows Bush Tucker Trial. As they entered the main camp, Matt was met with a mixed reception from the campmates, with many being disappointed he and Seann only bagged six out of a possible 11 stars. Matt went on to be grilled by his fellow campmates about why he decided to enter the jungle, with Boy George exclaiming that he is going to “get it”.

During their trial, the pair had to enter the underground burrow which was made up of a series of tunnels and chambers.

They had to work together to find the stars that were hidden throughout, but they were going in blind as the tunnels were pitch black, with 11 minutes to find 11 stars.

As the time ran out, they were informed that they had only won six stars after they had missed a few at the beginning.

It was soon time for them to arrive in the main camp, with Sue Cleaver first hearing the rustling of them arriving, as she exclaimed: “Oh, oh, oh.”

Chris Moyles was in the Bush Telegraph and added: “Oh my god, two new people have arrived. One of them is Seann Walsh and the other one… I’ve got to go back and double-check!”

Gobsmacked at who had walked into the camp, Sue then sat in the Bush Telegraph and exclaimed: “I don’t know what to say.”

Trying to push past their awkward arrival, Charlene White asked Matt: “Have you won us stars?” to which he informed her: “We got six stars.”

Impressed with their effort, Charlene replied: “Oh, yeah!” before Sue shut down the excitement and asked: “How many stars were there to get?”

“11,” Matt confirmed to which Sue solemnly repeated: “11… yeah… “

Breaking the ice, Babatúndé joked: “I got a full house so, er… you guys got a lot to live up to…”

In the Bush Telegraph Matt said to Seann: “They weren’t desperately impressed with six stars were they?”

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Seann laughed: “They were not!”

Back in the camp, Chris was making Matt feel welcome before Boy George swooped in and swiped: “You’re really going to get it.

“You’re really going to get it. Not from me. I mean just from…” Boy George trailed off to which Scarlette added: “Why did you decide to come in?”

Explaining his reasonings, Matt said: “Why? Because, all politicians are known – and me in particular – for being in a very sort of strict way of being. Which is just not actually how we are.”

Intrigued by what he meant, Scarlette asked: “How would you say you were?” to which he confidently replied: “More human than that.”

Sue jumped into the conversation and expressed: “You’re a brave man.”

In the Bush Telegraph, Scarlette spoke on Matt’s arrival and said: “To be fair, everyone’s human. We all have our own personalities outside of what we are seen as in the media.

“So listen, Matt Hancock has come on, he obviously has something to prove, so hey, everyone’s got their own reasons as to why they’re here.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs daily from 9pm on ITV.
