Dancing On Ice’s Myleene Klass admits she’s ‘terrified’ as she prepares for show

Myleene Klass has opened up about taking part in Dancing On Ice 2021 as she admitted it "terrifies" her.

The age-defying 42-year-old singer, pianist, and presenter has taken part in I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in the past, but has confessed the ITV skating competition is "completely new territory".

Myleene, who is mother to Ava, 13, and Hero, nine, has said she's excited to make her daughters proud as she's never done a show like DOI before.

Speaking ahead of her skating debut, the media personality admitted she's "terrified", but wanted to inspire her children to "do something that scares them every day".

She explained: "I haven't got a clue what I’m doing, this is completely new territory and when they say do something that scares you every single day – well, this terrifies me!"

Myleene continued: "But I make sure my children do things that scare them every single day, I push them to discover new challenges, to discover new talents and you can’t discover anything until you put yourself in a situation so I’m going to lead by example on that and give it a good go."

Talking about her daughters, Myleene said: "And they’re just so excited because they’ve never seen me do something new like this and when I first had the conversation with my manager she just said why don't you do something that you don’t know you can do, why don’t you challenge yourself.

"And then I said I'm SCARED! So, that's why I feel I should."

"I mean I am so out of my comfort zone. I never even holiday in the cold, I like the heat. If there's no palm trees I'm not interested! And there are no palm trees on this ice rink. I'm not Elsa, I'm Moana", the television star added.

Earlier this month, Myleene took to social media to reveal she'd suffered a major wardrobe blunder.

The star was left giggling as she'd shown up to training and her usual wardrobe attire had shrunk.

Myleene's pro-skating partner Lukasz Rozycki, 41, had also suffered the very same blunder with his garments.

Standing in front of the camera the pair laughed as they showcased noticeably smaller tops that now appeared to finish halfway at their navels.

Showing her skintight clothing, she exclaimed in an Instagram story post: "We've both shrunk our clothes!"

Dancing On Ice launches Sunday 17th January 6pm on ITV.
