EastEnders’ Chantelle Atkins horrified by discovery about abusive Gray’s past

Next week, EastEnders viewers are set to get more of an insight into abusive Gray Atkins' (Toby-Alexander Smith) past when he opens up in a therapy session.

Recently, Gray has been pushing for him and wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) to keep extending their family, following her tragic miscarriage.

However she told him that wouldn't be happening unless he got real help for his issues, which have seen him attack her numerous times.

And, next week, when Gray agrees to give therapy another try, some shocking news from his past leaves Chantelle gobsmacked.

Ahead of the session, Chantelle tries to help keep his nerves under wraps.

Once they get into the session, Chantelle is surprised to hear Gray open up about the reality of their home life to the therapist.

But once he starts opening up even more, Chantelle is left speechless by what Gray reveals.

What exactly could he have confessed to leave Chantelle so shaken?

In recent episodes, Chantelle has started to stand up to her abusive husband after deciding his horrific behaviour could not go on.

Now that they're seeking help in therapy, will he be able to change?

It seems change is more than welcome, but Gray is set to target Chantelle again before next week's episodes.

Due to Gray's meddling, Chantelle ends up being paired with her own dad Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths), instead of Jags Panesar (Amar Adatia), who she has history with.

However it doesn't stop Chantelle and Jags reminiscing about their past.
