EastEnders’ Jack Branning makes arrest after attack leaves Ian fighting for life
EastEnders' Ian Beale will be left for dead in brutal scenes this week, as the culprit of the violent attack rushes to cover their tracks
EastEnders' Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) will be brutally attacked and left for dead by an unknown assailant in shocking scenes this week.
On Monday (December 7), Ian will be found motionless on the floor of the Queen Vic, and it looks like it is touch and go for the iconic character.
After the violent attack, the mystery culprit rushes to cover their tracks as they sneak out of the Queen Vic, ensuring no one has seen them.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is the one who finds Ian's lifeless body on the ground, and immediately calls his mum Kathy to the scene.
An ambulance rushes to the scene and immediately takes Ian to hospital for emergency treatment as his life is put on the line.
Meanwhile, the police are called and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) leads the investigation as the Queen Vic is taped off to be examined.
Ian's attacker's identity remains unknown, but the number of potential culprits are plentiful, meaning this could take a while to be solved.
The businessman, who is one of the only remaining original characters from the soap's first episode in 1985, has made himself a lot of enemies over recent months.
Max Branning, Dotty Cotton, his brother Ben, and even his own sons Peter and Bobby Beale are in the firing line for the brutal attack.
It doesn't take long for Jack to become convinced he has found the attacker, as he soon makes an arrest.
But as the investigation continues, more evidence comes to light which puts a new suspect into the frame.
Both Jack and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) begin interviewing suspects, so it won't be long before the attacker is caught out.
EastEnders continues on Tuesday at 7.35pm on BBC.
