EastEnders’ Jay Brown to make dark discovery about Ben Mitchell amid Phil attack
EastEnders airs worrying scenes in the fallout to Phil Mitchell’s deadly attack next week, following the news he may have suffered brain damage.
Phil was hit over the head with a wrench by Stacey Fowler after a fight with her husband Martin, with Phil left bleeding in the pit in The Arches.
Son Ben covered the crime and even delayed calling the ambulance, meaning Phil is at risk of having sustained brain damage because of his severe head injury, and the delay in treatment.
But as the Mitchells rally around Phil’s hospital bedside, one member of the family is planning something that could have serious consequences.
In scenes to air in the coming episodes, Jay Brown will make a discovery about Ben that leaves him in complete shock.
He realises the extent of how much Ben hates his dad, after years of friction between the two of them – with Ben having just found out he’s been excluded from his will.
with tensions rising at the hospital, Jay decides to speak with Ben only to be left horrified by how much anger he has for his father even in his current state.
Jay heads back to Walford, frustrated by Ben’s comments, leaving his pal to it amid his plan to frame Keanu Taylor for the crime.
But after a chat with a worried Lola, he decides to find out what’s really going on with him.
Jay heads back to the hospital and encourages his friend to open up to him, with Lola urging him to bring Ben home.
When Ben does open up, he shocks him once more with his dark plan that he has in mind.
What exactly is the character up to and what will the consequences be for Phil?
Viewers will have to tune in to see just how Jay reacts and whether the rest of the family will find out what’s been going on.
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
