EastEnders spoilers: Dramatic exit, major split, sad return

There will always be a spark between once solid EastEnders couple Mick and Linda Carter (Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright).

This is something that Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) is unable to stomach and so she soon executes the final ace up her sleeve in a bid to get rid of Linda – but will it pay off?

Another much loved couple could also be estranged as, in the wake of recent events, Callum Highway (Tony Clay) ends things with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).

Is this really the end?

Monday May 16

Get Carter

Mick tries to convince Martin and Zack to let Linda move back in and promises to try and make her seek professional help.

Janine is put out when Mick goes for a walk with Linda and Shirley reminds her Mick and Linda will always have something.

On their walk, Linda is furious when she realises Mick is trying to get her to an addiction meeting, but when he opens up about his own troubles and how his past with Katy has affected him, Linda finally admits she needs help.

At The Vic, Janine’s paranoia grows when Mick reveals he’ll be attending the meetings with Linda to support her.

Over at Sharon’s, Linda is back and Zack overhears her telling Annie she’s going to get Mick back.

Callum is still riled by Ben’s actions. Callum breaks up with him. After Lewis tries to make Callum see sense, Callum shows Ben the keys to their flat, he’s serious about their future.

Callum assures Ben he won’t tell the police the truth. However if anything ever happens like this again it’s over.

Stuart has his first chemotherapy appointment and on their way home, he bumps into Dotty who assumes he is high and threatens to tell Bernie. Feeling the pressure, Stuart reveals the truth – he doesn’t feel a connection with Roland. Elsewhere, Kim is stunned when Howie finally admits that he likes her.

Tuesday May 17

Cal-ling it a day?

As Callum struggles to move on from what happened, Lewis finds Ben. After some wise words from Frankie, Callum comes round to Ben and gives him another chance, suggesting they go to The Albert.

Stacey is upset after Lily blames her for Jean being in the hospital. While visiting Jean, Stacey is concerned about her mum and things get worse after witnessing an incident involving Jean and another patient. Wanting to do what’s right for her mum, Stacey brings her home. Has she made the right decision?

Linda is given food for thought when Zack warns her about setting her sights on Mick. Things look up for Linda however when Nancy invites her to a meeting at their new business leading Linda to ask Mick to come too.

Not wanting to give the wrong impression, Mick declines but later joins them all to celebrate Linda getting a reduced price on the space.

Seeing her parents together, Nancy leaves and tells a paranoid Janine she left them alone. As Linda and Mick enjoy some time together at Walford East, Linda professes her love for him.

Meanwhile, Sonia gives Janine a reality check about her priorities but feeling threatened by Linda, Janine comes up with a plan.

Janine finds Linda at the restaurant and wanting to get rid of her forever, offers her £25k to leave Walford for good.

Wednesday May 18

Ja-mean

Linda agrees to Janine’s offer but wants double the money, however she continues to place doubts in Janine’s mind about her future with Mick.

Janine she comes up with a cunning plan. Meanwhile, Zack and Nancy go to meet with their estate agent to sign the lease contract.

Janine meets back with Linda, she has the money but if she wants it, she has to leave tomorrow.

Frankie is on a mission to create her photography portfolio and Rocky suggests that she captures the real East End. She photographs Rocky posing by the car lot but is disappointed about how the pictures have come out.

After photographing Mick in The Vic, Rocky and Mitch convince Jay to take part but after Frankie leaves, they set him up.

Kat and Eve learn Jean is back home and share their concerns with Stacey. In the café, Stacey invites Harvey round but he quickly makes an excuse.

With Jean failing to interact with the children and not eating, Stacey realises the challenge ahead of her.

Thursday May 19

Jean is seen

Stacey struggles caring for Jean and as Kat shares her own concerns.

The mental health nurse arrives to assess Jean.

Linda prepares to leave Albert Square and says a subtle goodbye to her family. Zack clocks on to what’s happening. Will Linda leave Albert Square?

Rocky and Mitch tease Jay ahead of his big photoshoot.
