Emmerdale fans work out Dawn ring twist as Meena finds missing murder trophy

Emmerdale fans think they have worked out a new twist involving Dawn Taylor as Meena Jutla found one of her missing murder trophies on Thursday's episode.

During the latest instalment, Meena discovered that Leanna Cavanagh's ring was missing from her sick keepsake box, which has all of her murder victims' items in it.

And it wasn't long until she realised that Noah Dingle, who has been working at the B&B, had something to do with the missing item as she confronted him.

Noah then quickly retrieved the ring from love interest Chloe Harris, who he had gifted it to without realising its deadly significance, and then gave it to Samson Dingle to look after.

However, menacing Meena witnessed the scenes as she snuck up to the Dingle home and managed to retrieve the item of jewellery before burying it with the other keepsakes by Leanna's bird box.

And it wasn't long until soap watchers questioned whether Dawn may end up with the ring after she recently got engaged to Meena's ex Billy Fletcher.

During the latest episode, the couple announced their engagement to the village following the New Year's Eve proposal with Billy insisting: "There's no ring yet but it's coming… I promise."

Viewers have now speculated whether the keepsake box could be discovered and as a consequence Leanna's ring could be unknowingly used as Dawn's engagement band.

Taking to social media, one person said: "Bit of a weird one but what if Dawn ends up with the ring that Noah stole from Meena. Billy said he didn't have a ring yet…"

A different account put: "I thought the same, that ring is going on Dawns hand for sure."

Another follower commented: "I wouldn’t be surprised. Many weird things are happening in Emmerdale."

While a different fan agreed with the theories, replying: "Yep can see that happening!"

It comes as Emmerdale fans were left frustrated on Thursday's episode as PC Mike Swirling and Harriet Finch missed a vital clue while searching for Manpreet Sharma.

Only recently on the ITV soap, murderer Meena has been drugging her sister Manpreet and holding her hostage at Wendy Posner's home following The Woolpack pub explosion.

Meena has made up an elaborate excuse that Manpreet has jetted off on holiday and left her mobile behind for a "proper break".

However, after Rishi started to worry about his missing estranged wife, especially after learning that her daughter Aiesha had no clue of her whereabouts and she wasn't in Ibiza — like Meena had said, he reported her as missing to the police.

PC Swirling and Harriet have been looking into the case, which frustrated fans after they made a series of blunders on Wednesday, and on Thursday they decided to check Wendy's home, which Meena had cleared after learning Wendy was returning early.

During the scenes, PC Swirling, who believes Meena's lies and has been dismissing Rishi's worries, was reluctant to do a proper search as he wanted a coffee.

While Harriet attempted to investigate the room before she was disturbed by a menacing Meena who warned that they shouldn't be taking Rishi's claims seriously.

However, soap fans were left frustrated during the scenes as they pointed out that Harriet didn't notice that Manpreet's suitcase and wash bag were still in the room despite allegedly being abroad.
