WHILE his daughter struggles with her pregnancy, Dan Spencer has set his sights on PC Harriet Finch.

Next week in Emmerdale, the character portrayed by Liam Fox finally makes his move, leaving her shocked.

Dan recently tried to make his feelings clear to the policewoman (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) by asking her out for a drink.

But he was left feeling deflated when she was clearly oblivious to him.

Coming up in the Yorkshire-based soap, Dan moves back into Dale Head after being kicked out of the home by Kim Tate and Gabby Thomas.

While this means he no longer has to rely on the former vicar to have a roof over his head, he is a little sad to be moving out of her house.

Meanwhile, Harriet is stunned when Dan instinctively goes to kiss her, unable to hold back.

She finally realises he likes but feels awkward about it.

Dan leaves, kicking himself and fearing he may have wrecked what could have been a good friendship.

However, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) could save the day when she tells Harriet she could do a lot worse than Dan, leaving the PC to see him in a different light.

As mentioned above, Dan tried to let Harriet know how he felt but he may have been a little rusty.

Before his quick fling with Emmerdale veteran Faith Dingle, the mechanic was in a romantic relationship with Kerry Wyatt, who has remained close to help him take care of Amelia.

But since then, Dan's love life has remained at a standstill.

Things took a turn when it was revealed the 15-year-old was pregnant and was keeping the identity of the baby daddy a secret.

Harriet was the one to tell Dan all about Amelia and her relationship with Noah Dingle, leading to believe the latter was the father of his unborn grandchild.
