Emmerdale’s Harriet ‘caught out’ as Malone’s corpse is moved to Home Farm

It looks like time could be running out for Emmerdale vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) when it comes to people finding out the truth about DI Malone.

She has been struggling with her conscience ever since she had a part in DI Malone's death and the covering up of it, burying his body in someone else's grave.

This week, Emmerdale spoilers revealed that Harriet gets words that the daughter of the man whose grave was where she buried Malone wants to exhume her dad.

And next week, in upcoming episodes, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) begins to get concerned too when Harriet breaks the news about the potential exhumation.

Meanwhile, Harriet tries to persuade the woman, Jean, not to go ahead with the exhumation – but Jean stands strong with her decision.

Later on, Harriet privately tells Will that the exhumation will be moving forward.

Will decides that they need to move Malone's body and do it quickly before he's discovered, and he soon comes up with a cunning plan.

He suggests to Harriet that they move Malone's body the next day and bury him in a secluded area at Home Farm.

When the next day arrives, everyone involved is stressed as they prepare the big move.

Later in the evening, under the cover of night, Will dig's Malone a new grave on the grounds of Home Farm.

Elsewhere, Harriet has to deliver a carol service but she's completely distracted, unable to stop thinking about what Will's doing.

Will he be able to move Malone's body, or will he be caught out?

And will Harriet be able to hide all of her guilt and worries?

More importantly, if Will is caught, will Harriet be dragged into it because of her part in the plot?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays, on ITV
