Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles talks Bernice return after heartbreaking exit
Last night's Emmerdale saw actress Samantha Giles make her exit as Bernice Blackstock after 11 years on the soap.
Bernice was due to marry her doctor fiancé Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) but called it off last minute after daughter Dee Dee (Mia Gibson-Reed) received a worrying call.
She found out her dad Charlie had been involved in a bad car crash and she needed to go back to Australia to look after him.
And for once in her life, Bernice decided to put her daughter's needs first and went back to Australia with her, telling Liam the wedding was off.
