Former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson fears ex Alan Halsall will spill marriage and split secrets on I’m A Celebrity – The Sun

LUCY-JO Hudson is worried ex-husband Alan Halsall will spill marriage secrets as he prepares to sign up to the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The former Coronation Street star, 36 who is currently expecting a baby with panto star Lewis Devine, left Alan heartbroken when their nine-year marriage came to an end last year.

And now, a source has exclusively revealed how the mum-of-one has been left wondering what her former Corrie co-star, 37, may say about their marriage during his time on the ITV show.

An insider said: “I think it is fair to say that Lucy would prefer Alan to remain in Weatherfield.

"People always get emotional and talk about their personal lives in I’m a Celebrity because a lot of time they are hungry, lonely and vulnerable and there’s nothing else to do.”

Alan, who is best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs, left fans wondering if he'd signed up to the jungle after posting a snap of himself enjoying the outdoors earlier this month.

Dressed in hiking boots, a waterproof jacket and carrying a rucksack on his back, Alan's outfit bared a striking resemblance to the I'm A Celeb jungle uniforms.

He wrote: "It's a jungle out there."

And it didn't take long for fans to wonder if Alan was heading to the Australian outback.

Former Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas said: "Can’t wait to see you on the jungle congratulations mate."

An observant fan said: "What??? Is this true  @alanhalsall #imacelebrity."

Another wrote: "You going on I'm a celebrity."

Co-stars Antony Cotton and Jennie McAlpine have already had stints in the Aussie jungle.

Last year, Alan said he fancied a bash at the Bushtucker Trials, telling fans during an Instagram Q+A session that he would “smash it” on the show.

Last year, we reported he could land himself a six figure fee to appear on I'm A Celebrity after he confessed that he is desperate for a stint in the jungle.

A TV source said: “Alan couldn’t have made it any clearer that he fancies a spell in the jungle and it won’t have gone unnoticed by the makers of the show.”

Corrie bosses have given the green light for current cast members to join the show in recent years to allow them to earn extra cash.

ITV stars have previously been left frustrated after not being allowed to take on money-spinning advertising deals while still on a show.

Although the rule doesn't apply to likes of Holly Willoughby and Ant and Dec, former soap stars Michelle Keegan and Ryan Thomas have quit the cobbles to help increase their earning potential.

Lucy-Jo and Alan called time on their marriage last year and share six-year-old daughter Sienna-Rae together.

The Sun Online has approached Lucy-Jo's agent for comment.
