The stars of the hit Channel 4 drama It’s A Sin reunited to take part in the special, festive edition of the baking competition. The Great British Bake Off’s Noel Fielding ended up distracting viewers with an interesting jumper he was wearing, though. Fans tuning in at home quickly took to social media to comment on the “outstanding” outfit the comedian wore.
It’s A Sin actors Olly Alexander, Lydia West, Nathaniel Curtis and Shaun Dooley put their baking skills to the test for the spin-off of Bake Off.
Fans of the moving drama were keen to see who could impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, but many were more distracted by Noel.
Donning a bright red jumper with a large, scribbled face on scrawled on, the comedian steered viewers away from the competition as they couldn’t take their eyes off his unique clothes.
Twitter user Mark asked: “Where did Noel get that jumper? #BakeOff.”
Chris added: “Anybody else seeing Nigel Thornberry on Noel’s jumper #bakeoff #GBBO.”
“Can we acknowledge how totally outstanding Noel’s jumper is?” Alesja K penned.
@verysorryland shared: “Noel Fielding’s jumper on xmas Bake Off is unreal omg give.”
Grant remarked: “Noel Fielding is wearing a Nigel Thornberry shirt.”
Seren simply commented “NOEL FIELDING JUMPER.”
The famous faces were tasked with baking a pie containing typical Christmas left-over ingredients and a Christmas tree show-stopper.
Shaun, 47, was delighted by some positive feedback from Paul.
“Paul said ‘I cannot fault your baking’ – what a compliment!” He stated. “If he says that, I’ve got to bake a bit more, haven’t I?”
Olly, 31, commented: “I knew it [his showstopper] would taste quite insane, but I think they appreciated the crazy flavours.
“It would be so amazing to be star baker. I don’t know if it’s going to happen for me, but I’m so proud of all of us I feel like we have kind of all won.”
The judges were faced with the tough decision of selecting the best baker after an impressive round.
“There’s not one thing I wouldn’t eat again,” Paul admitted.
When it came to the moment of truth, Noel and Matt told the actors how great it had been to have them in the famous tent.
“But there can only be one star baker,” Noel pointed out. “And the star baker is Nathaniel.”
He seemed stunned by the victory as his co-stars applauded him.
“I won, it’s a Christmas miracle!” the 31-year-old laughed.
The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special is available to watch on All4.
