Grey’s Anatomy teases Maggie Pierce exit after Winston split
Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 13 Preview
This week’s episode of ABC’s hit medical drama finally revealed the fate of Addison Montgomery (played by Kate Walsh) after a devastating car crash, and fans were thrilled to see she survived. However, Grey’s Anatomy may be about to say goodbye to another long-serving resident, as the new teaser trailer hinted at a major blow for Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) and her husband Winston Ndugu (Anthony Hill).
Viewers are afraid Maggie and Winston will be getting a divorce after next week’s crushing episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
After Addison’s miraculous recovery, fans were given a taste of what to expect in next week’s episode, Cowgirls Don’t Cry.
A synopsis reads: “A bull rider shows up at Grey Sloan with severe injuries, forcing Maggie, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Benson ‘Blue’ Kwan (Harry Shum Jr) to examine their own biases.
“Elsewhere, Simone Griffith (Alexis Floyd) can’t find anyone to be her maid of honour.”

“And Mika Yasuda (Midori Francis) takes drastic measures to pay down her student debt.”
While the Grey Sloan surgeons work on a young bull rider who was violently trampled, Maggie has her own crushing realisation to deal with at home.
In the trailer, she’s confronted about a job offer she’s been keeping from the rest of the staff.
Later, they pay a visit to a couples therapist, and Winston isn’t happy with the possibility of moving away.
“I’ve already moved across the country for you once,” he tells Maggie. The therapist then asks: “Are you considering it?”
Maggie looks down in contemplation but stays silent, her answer presumably being saved for a big reveal last week.
If she does decide to take the offer, this could not only be the end of McCreary’s time on the show, but also the end of her relationship with Winston.
McCreary has confirmed her last appearance is coming up this season, but fans were at least hoping she and her husband would remain on good terms.
