Holly and Phil laugh during awkwardly timed workplace bullying This Morning chat

This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby saw the funny side during a This Morning segment on Tuesday, about a new ITV drama on workplace bullying.

Phil was hit with claims of being at the centre of a war between presenters of the daytime series reently.

The TV favourite was rumoured to be feuding with Amanda Holden earlier this year, before new claims of a rift with Ruth Langsford came to light this week.

But the comment that led to him speaking out just days ago was reports of a strained relationship with close friend and This Morning co-host Holly.

Holly appeared close to tears at the Dancing on Ice launch event this week as she talked about how they met, while Phil called her the sister he'd never had.

But the hosts were back to their usual laughter and hysterics on the show on Tuesday, even when presenting an awkwardly timed segment on workplace bullying.

Ben Miller came on the show to discuss his new ITV drama Sticks and Stones, which focuses on office bullying and torment.

In the drama, the lead character feels he is the victim of bullying, while those around him claim it is all in his head and simply fun and games.

Ben told Holly and Phil that due to the nature of the show, the crew and cast on set were overly nice to each other.

He explained: "Well actually it was sort of the opposite filming it, because the show's about bullying everyone was going out their way to be as nice as possible."

Holly and Phil couldn't stop laughing at the confession, calling it hilarious as they continued to squish any rumours of a feud.

After laughing, Holly said: "That's hilarious," with both hosts saying they planned to watch it.

Viewers noticed the timing of the segment, with one fan commenting: "Wow this isn’t awkward is it?"

Another agreed: "This is awkward since the headline."

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
