Horrific scenes as violent Caleb beats up own son Nicky in Emmerdale

Caleb Milligan (William Ash) proved in Wednesday’s (June 7) edition of Emmerdale that the only person he truly cares about is himself.

The smug character has been convinced this week that his plan to destroy Kim (Claire King) and take over Home Farm was nearly at an end. He had Kim’s bank details and knew that all he needed to do was gain access to the money in her account and transfer it over.

He was also relying on Nicky (Lewis Cope) to marry Gabby (Rosie Bentham), overlooking the fact that his son is gay and actually wants to be in a relationship with Ally (Joshua Horrocks).

Yesterday, with hours to go until the wedding, Nicky told Gabby that he can’t go through with it as he’s gay.

As the ordeal unfolded tonight, Nicky explained to Gabby that he’s in love with Ally, leaving her devastated.

Nicky ran off and was later found in the stables, leaving Gabby to tell Will (Dean Andrews) that the wedding is now off.

When this conversation happened, Caleb (William Ash) overheard everything and set off to find his son.

He confronted Nicky, brutally attacked him and explained the risks that now lie ahead because of his decision to back out of the plan.

A broken Nicky said that Gabby deserved better, but Caleb didn’t care about her, taking action by telling Nicky that once the police discover what’s going on, he better start running as he’s going to frame him for everything.

‘He’s ruthless in this pursuit of Home Farm and he won’t let anything get in the way of it, so even if his own son’s being beaten up in front of him, he’ll stick to the plan’, William Ash insisted.

‘He loses sight of everything else that’s going on. It becomes almost like greed and he can’t see the wood for the trees. He’s horrible to his son, he throws the rest of his family under the bus. And he hates Kim. Really, really hates what she did.’

With the episode ending on Kim telling Caleb that she knows what he’s been up to, he now has to face her and a very furious Cain (Jeff Hordley).

But what about Nicky?

He was last seen with Gabby, demanding to know everything, but then what?

Will he run away, just like his dad told him to?
