I've had longest journey to recovery from bad bipolar and extreme eating disorder, says EastEnder Luisa Bradshaw-White
EASTENDERS actress Luisa Bradshaw-White has revealed she’s been on the “longest road to recovery” after battling “really bad bipolar and an extreme eating disorder”.
The 46-year-old, who is best known for her role as Tina Carter in the BBC soap – told followers how she had been "in and out of psychiatric units" for years as she vowed to dedicate her social media account to helping others.
She explained: "I've had the longest journey to recovery from bipolar, really bad bipolar, and an extreme eating disorder.
"I've spent years and years in and out of psychiatric units, and it has been such a long recovery."
The star continued: "Years of self-love, self-care, any alternative therapy I could find to try to help myself and to get me to where I am today.
"And I truly love myself. I love my body, I love my mind, and I am genuinely happy. I think it's actually quite rare."
Luisa urged her followers to reach out to her so she can help them and “get to know them”.
She said: "I've learnt so much on my journey, and I just want to help other people.

"I've got this platform and I want it to be about love.
"I don't think I know that many of you. Please will you message me. I want to get to know you and inspire people to be the very best versions of themselves.
"Because I think you deserve nothing less. I really think there is nothing better than living a truly, happy, soul-led life."
Luisa’s character Tina was killed by Gray Atkins last December, but her family still just think she is on the run.
