Kelis spills beans on ‘awkward’ The Masked Singer after being rumbled as Daisy
Kelis has revealed all on keeping her The Masked Singer UK appearance a secret from everyone, until being unveiled as Daisy in the latest episode.
She also spoke of the "awkward" and "hot" experience singing under a giant head piece.
The ITV series sees mystery celebrities from all different careers taking to the stage in costume.
Judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall Jonathan Ross and Ken Jeong are given clues each week from the mystery star, and have only these and their singing voices to figure out who is behind the masks.
From Duck to Queen Bee and Hedgehog, there's still a number of acts yet to be exposed – with viewers guessing names including Nicola Roberts, Jason Manford and Denise Van Outen might be on the show.
One celeb who was identified on the show was Milkshake singer Kelis.
She was exposed as the person in the Daisy costume on Saturday night, with Rita correctly guessing this to be the case.
Speaking about the show and keeping it a secret, Kelis appeared live via video link on Lorraine on Monday morning.
She confessed it wasn't even remaining silent on whether she was doing the show or not that was the hard part.
Instead, it was the not seeing anyone and not even being able to watch their performances that was "weird".
The contestants only see each other in costume when they stand with one another on stage.
Other than that, any passings in corridors each contestant wears a sign that says "don't talk to me".
She explained to Lorraine Kelly: "You're not even supposed to see anyone. The weirdest thing is being there and not having contact with anyone at all.
"You have shirts on that say 'don’t speak to me', you're not allowed to talk to anybody."
Kelis also has no idea who her co-stars are, confessing: "I have no idea, honestly, we weren't allowed to watch the other performances, we were literally kept in the dark."
The Masked Singer continues Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
