Located in Calabasas, California, the mansion is home to their four children – daughters North, seven, and Chicago, two, plus sons Saint, five, and one-year-old Psalm.

The high profile couple is said to be heading towards the divorce courts with Kim said to have hired superstar lawyer Laura Wasser after a rocky year.

A source told Page Six: "Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up.

"That is their home."

They explained: "She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house.

"They’ve both put a lot of money into renovating it."

The minimalist property is fully decorated in white, beige and cream, with Kanye, 43, taking credit for much of the property's design.

He worked alongside Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt to complete their vision.

The property once belonged to Lisa-Marie Presley before the couple purchased it for $20m in 2013, going on to spend $40m on renovations.

They eventually moved in in 2017 while work was still being done – forever the perfectionists the property was only declared finished in 2019.

Full of space for their children to run about inside, and even ride their skateboards – the sparseness has always been of interest to fans.

Kim, 40, nearly broke the internet when she revealed how she doesn't have any basins in her bathroom.

At the time, the mother-of-four explained that there was actually a slit on the apparently flat top for water to run through.

She told her social media followers: "Eight versions of this prototype sink were made and it does actually slightly slope down, and you can see there's a slit for the water and it goes in.

"You can put it as high pressure as you want and no back-splash will come up."

Kim and Kanye's nearest and dearest have commented in the past on how they prefer to go to Kourtney's place instead.

An insider – who has visited the sprawling LA pad – told The Sun Online: "Kim and Kanye’s house is the most uncomfortable place.

"It’s impossible to sit comfortably, and you don’t know what you’re allowed to sit on as some of it is art. You’re basically expected to sit on cold concrete steps as there aren’t many chairs."

But Kim and Kanye's love of the property is so strong that even when they were "at each other's throats" during the pandemic, neither one would agree to leave the property and instead they stayed at "opposite ends of the house"

Sources close to the couple told The Sun: "Kim and Kanye are arguing and at each other's throats during this pandemic.

"Kim is getting stir crazy, as she's used to being on the go. It's also a lot of time alone with the kids for her.

"She is frustrated with Kanye and thinks he's not pulling his weight in family responsibilities. They've been staying at opposite ends of the house to keep things civil."

Kim and Kanye tied the knot in a luxurious Italian wedding in May 2014.

The pair had been friends for years and Kanye even stood by his future wife during her infamous 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.

This will be the KUWTK star's third divorce as she was also married to music producer Damon Thomas.

The reality star has not been seen wearing her $1.3 million engagement ring in recent weeks as she stays with their four children in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Kanye, has been staying at the couple's ranch in Wyoming.
