Referred to as the “adult boomerang”, the cost of living and spiralling inflation has seen many having no option but to move back in with their parents.
“Young people don’t want to be living with their parents – I wanted to go and be independent,” Kaye began.
She continued that she had “moved out when I was 17 because that’s what I wanted to do” however the current climate made her “feel really sorry for young people.
“This is a situation that they really don't want but they're having to do it."
Explaining his current situation on his TikTok page, Jake, who was previously engaged to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson and was a former soap star said “I’m a failure.”
This was in reply to one user asking where Jake was in his life currently, he said: “I'm on Universal Credit, and I live with my mum in her garage.”
Jake is the son of Shane Richie and his then wife Coleen who was previously extremely successful in the entertainment world.
Jake found success with the boyband Push baby, formerly Rixton which saw their song Me and My Broken Heart reaching number 1 on the UK Singles Chart.
He also made a name for himself on Emmerdale playing the character Isaac Nuttal.
Unfortunately for Jake, worked dried up quickly and he was left with little choice but to move back home and sign onto Universal Credit.
After his painful admittance, one user was quick to uplift Jake’s spirits shutting down his comments.
Insisting he was wasn’t a failure and to “get better, whatever you’re going through.”
He added that he hopes Jake “gets to where he wants to be in the future. HE CAN DO IT!”
