Love Island fans expose evidence proving Olivia and Zara are pals off-screen

Love Island fans are adamant Olivia Hawkins was so frustrated with Zara Lackenby-Brown because they're secretly friends.

Tensions came to the surface after the pair were subtly throwing shade at one another during the game of beer pong, which saw Zara kiss Tom Clare – who is coupled up with Olivia – and snub the star.

When asked who Zara thought was the most two-faced person in the villa, Zara planted a peck on Olivia's cheeks, leaving Olivia flustered and visibly annoyed.

As Olivia's turn came around and she was told to reveal a secret, the fiery brunette took the opportunity to clap back at Zara.

She immediately fumed: "One secret is that I'm not two-faced, I'm very straight up actually."

The fellow islanders were immediately taken aback and the game was swiftly wrapped up, prompting Olivia to go and have a conversation with the rest of the girls in the villa.

But it looks like it could be deeper than a brief feud between newbies, with fans realising that Olivia and Zara are actually friends who have commented on each others' photos.

In one snap posted by Zara two years ago, Olivia commented on the post writing: "Fave photo of you", while Zara responded: "My babes", below.

Another saw Zara writing on a photo posted by Olivia as she called her: "Absolutely unreal babes".

Although the pair were never seen in photos together, they seemed to at least have an online friendship and were connected on social media.

The duo are both in a very similar industry so it's likely they could have met while on a job at some point throughout their careers.

However, fans at home would be none the wiser as the pair haven't addressed their connection on-screen following Zara's bombshell arrival on Wednesday night.

Zara's entrance has certainly caused aa stir in the villa as the beauty seems to be eyeing up multiple men including Ron Hall, Tom Clare and Kai Fagan.

But as a recoupling looms, who will she ultimately choose?

Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
