Love Island girl dumped from villa in savage scenes
Shaughna Phillips’ time on Love Island came to end on Friday night when she was the only single girl left in the villa after an emotional recoupling.
Shaughna had only just revealed her head had been turned by Luke M and caught up in a love triangle with him and Demi Jones.
When it came to the recoupling, Luke M decided he wanted to try and make a go of things with Demi and as a result Shaughna was dumped.
Elsewhere it was business as usual as the couples we all expected to get back together, got back together.
Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, Luke T and Siannise Fudge, Jess Gale and Ched Uzor and Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu are still going strong.
Despite hoping that Luke M would choose her, he decided to pick Demi leaving Shaughna single.
Leaving the villa, she told the islanders: ‘It’s been real.
‘This has been a roller-coaster, a traffic jam, but one I’ve loved every minute of. I can’t believe it’s kind of over.’
It was an emotional night all round as Paige was reduced to tears by Finn’s speech about her, and Siannise found herself tearing up listening to Luke T say that his mum likes everything about her.
Explaining his decision, Luke M said: ‘She never fails to make me laugh. I feel like she hasn’t had the best luck in the villa but I do feel that that is gonna change.
‘This is probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make. I don’t want anyone to go, but I had to go with my heart and my gut.’
In tears in the beach hut, Paige said: ‘You do not realise how attached you get in here. I started with Shaughna and she was just as big a part of this journey as Finn is so to lose that is not nice.’
Shaughna was previously coupled up with Callum Jones, but was left crushed when he decided to couple up with new girl Molly Smith during his stay in Casa Amor.
Love Island airs daily at 9pm on ITV2.
