Ex-Love Island hunk Adam Collard – dubbed one of the show’s biggest love rats – is coming back to shake things up.

And he warned: “I am going to ruffle a few feathers when I go in.”

A source told us: “Watch out girls. Adam is certainly going to cause a storm.”

The Geordie fitness trainer, 26, appeared on the ITV2 series back in 2018 which was won by Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.

Initially, a hit with viewers, his cheating antics soon turned them against him and they branded him a bad boy.

He upset his first TV partner Kendall Rae Knight by snogging Rosie Williams during a daring challenge.

Smitten Rosie went on to have a raunchy session under the covers with him which was caught on camera.

However, later, when she tried to pour her heart out to him, he was seen smirking at her and then behind her back tried to make a move on Megan Barton Hanson.

After splitting with Rose, he moved on to Zara McDermott and then coupled up with Darylle Sargeant before being dumped from the show.

Outside the villa, he and Zara dated for eight months but she called their romance “toxic”.

Adam said about his time on Love Island 2018: “I could have been a little more sensitive.”

The lad from Newcastle was teased at the end of Sunday's show as a surprise new arrival.

We had previously revealed that Love Island bosses were keen on the idea of former singletons returning to the popular show.

Executive producer Mike Spencer said he would "love" to bring former stars back for a one-off special.

He told fans: "I would personally love to make an 'All-Stars in the future with past Islanders across all series. What do you think?"

But that wasn't the only hint that bosses dropped, with the first official trailer featuring Millie Court playing the piano and Chris Taylor jumping into the pool, doing the "salmon" move.

Just one day later, bosses branded them "The OGs of Love" focusing heavily on the concept of "original".

In recent days, Adam's social media handles have been relatively quiet, with him last posting on Instagram four days ago – sharing a clip of his food.

Just one week ago, he shared a clip of him in the gym alongside a personal training client as he offered fans advice on how to do a shoulder work out.
