Love Island viewers blast girls for ‘double standards’ over sex

Love Island viewers were not impressed with the women in the villa during last night’s episode.

Fans of the show were annoyed following the girls’ reaction to Curtis Pritchard turning down sex with Maura Higgins.

The feisty Irish ring girl, 28, was seen winding and grinding on Curtis under-the-covers, seemingly keen to take their relationship to the next level.

However, ballroom dancer Curtis had other ideas and told Maura it wasn’t the right time to consumate their relationship and he had a headache.

Fuming at Curtis’s rejection, Maura fumed about it to the girls the following morning.

Trying to comfort her pal, Molly-Mae, who is coupled up with Tommy Fury, said: “If I was laying it on Tommy and he was giving me nothing, I would have kicked him out of the bed.”

Maura responded she just wanted an “orgasm” and for Curtis to “drip all over her”.

While Maura’s comments alone left viewers mortified, they were even less impressed with the girls’ attitude towards sex.

Many claimed that had the boys been talking about sex in the same way, it would have been branded disrespectful and sexist.

One viewer raged: “We can’t mouth off at men for not taking ‘no’ for an answer and then kick off when they say ‘no’ to us. Respect the no.”

Another fumed: “Are you lot hearing this? On my life if the lads were having this conversation Girl Power would be exploding.”

A third added: “Imagine the reaction if Curtis was having a tantrum because Maura wouldn’t have sex with him? Double standards.”

Later the duo were able to patch things up, with Curtis telling Maura he was, ‘drained from looking after the [plastic] babies’, also adding that what Anna had said to him [about being a narcissist] was playing on his mind.”

He added: ‘I’d love to rip your clothes off but last night was not the time.”
