Love Islands Tasha applied for another ITV show
Tasha Ghouri's dad has said she applied to be on another TV show before Love Island bosses picked her for the villa.
The blonde – who is making history as the first ever deaf contestant on the dating show – tried to get onto another ITV programme before she slipped on a bikini and headed to Love Island.
However, her dad Tarek told The Sun that he couldn't recall which show it was that she applied for.
He explained that the dancer was making her way with some modelling jobs, after a shot of her wearing an earring alongside her cochlear implant went viral.
Then it seems that TV beckoned.

"She'd applied to another show before that – I can't remember the name but it was an ITV show as well," he said.
"So I think at some point, the producers thought she would be an ideal person to go in the villa, not least because she's desperate for love. And that's what Love Island is all about."
Tarek also told how he had helped his daughter to shoot an audition video, which apparently showed her walking towards a pool while explaining exactly what she was after in her Mr Right.

Tasha, 23, has already caused quite a splash in the villa, where she has caught the eye of Andrew LePage.
The model and dancer was born deaf but her cochlear implant means that she can now hear out of one ear.
The reality star, who is from Thirsk, has previously said that her dating life has been a bit of a "shambles" in the past and that she is hoping that she will find The One on Love Island.
"I'm definitely ready for a relationship," she said, before she entered the villa.
She added of her "super power" deafness: "I call it my super power, I don’t call it a disability because it’s something I don’t like, it’s not a word that describes me.
“It’s a big statement being on Love Island, I hope it shows people that it doesn’t matter what super power you’ve got, it doesn’t define you, it’s part of what makes you special and unique.
“It makes you different from other people but in a good and positive way.”
