Lucifer season 5: Chloe Decker and Eve stars send fans into meltdown with reunion snaps

Lucifer: Netflix release preview teaser of conversation with God

Lucifer season five is on its way back to Netflix in, hopefully, the not-so-distant future, although fans are still none the wiser as to when exactly that may be. However, in the meantime, the cast and crew have made their return to set to film all-new episodes ahead of the sixth and final season and it’s safe to say ‘Lucifans’ were left ecstatic when stars Lauren German and Inbar Lavi gave a sneak peek into their comeback on Instagram.

German has become a fan-favourite throughout Lucifer’s five-season run on Fox and Netflix thanks to her will-they-won’t-they romance with Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis).

Affectionately referred to as Deckerstar, Lucifer and Chloe have faced obstacle after obstacle during the rollercoaster relationship – not least the fact the LAPD detective had to come to terms with Mr Morningstar being the devil.

But another challenge came their way in the form of Eve (Inbar Lavi) at the start of season four – who quickly threw a spanner in the works by charming Lucifer.

However, while their characters have had their differences on-screen, the stars seem as pally as ever on their return to filming.

Taking to Instagram on February 1, Lavi confirmed she’d be back as Eve in season five, part two – and possibly even season six – with a selfie from her dressing room.

“We back,” Lavi simply penned to her 1.1 million followers who quickly flooded the comment section with their messages of excitement.

And among the swathes of excited replies was none other than German, who shared a short and sweet response of a love heart-eyed emoji.

While this reunion of sorts was enough to leave hundreds of fans pining, the two took to their Instagram Stories to share another snap from them reuniting on set of the show.

German shared an adorable snap with Lavi’s pet pooch, captioning the snap: “Cheelah’s snuck into my trailer for a cuddle @inbarlavi.”

Lavi replied with a cheeky message of: “At least someone’s getting hugs.”

Inevitably, it didn’t take long for fans to weigh in with their thoughts on seeing their favourite Lucifer stars back together.

“CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN,” replied one fan on Lavi’s dressing room selfie.

A second added to the hype: “My eyes have been blessed [sweating emoji].”

“So excited!!!! Really can’t wait to see Eve again,” weighed in a third, with a fourth echoing: “You have no idea about how we are excited right now.”

But what lies ahead for Eve and Chloe in seasons five and six of Lucifer? And will one of them end up in the arms of the devil for good?

German and Lavi weren’t the only stars of the Netflix show to send fans into meltdown with a peek at the return to filming as Mazikeen star Lesley-Ann Brandt also informed her social media following she too was back.

Dressed in a hooded jumper, sweatpants and wearing a face mask, Brandt posted a snap to her 349.2k Twitter followers.

“Good to be back….safely @LuciferNetflix,” Brandt penned and, just like the reaction to Lavi and German’s reunion, fans were quick to voice their pleasure.

“Stay healthy and safe,” one fan replied. “So excited to see all your hard work pay off but I’m not gonna ask for a date because I know you don’t have one.”

While a second added: “Can’t wait to see maze again aaah.”

Lucifer seasons 4-5A are available to stream on Netflix now.
