Nina Warhust pays emotional tribute to BBC Breakfast with string of rare pregnancy pics | The Sun

NINA Warhurst has sung the praises of the team at BBC Breakfast as she opens up on starting her role on the show just seven weeks before giving birth.

The BBC Breakfast regular shared some candid snaps from her first shift from the morning show where she had her blossoming baby bump on full display.

Journalist Nina has two children and was expecting her second, son Michael, when she first joined the programme.

Nina looked sensational as her bump took pride of place in the Breakfast studios, based in Salford.

The star wore a bright blue dress and a pair of red heels for her presenting debut back in 2018.

Paying tribute to her start on the show, Manchester native Nina said: "One of my fave things about @BBCBreakfast
was that they invited me for my first shift this pregnant… and made me feel comfortable then, and about returning after maternity leave ♥️♥️ I have buzzed walking in to that studio every time since 🐝."

Nina's former co-star, Dan Walker, replied to the post by joking: "Don’t know what you’re ok about Nina… can hardly notice you’re pregnant at all 😳😂."

She laughed back, adding: "7 weeks to go at this point too."

Nina first joined the show on a freelance basis in 2018 having worked in various capacities at different BBC regions and a stint at local Manchester TV station, Channel M.

Nina provided stand-in cover for the main hosts on BBC Breakfast until she replaced Steph McGovern in 2020 as the lead business correspondent and presenter following her defection to Channel 4.

Steph now fronts her own lunchtime talk show, Steph's Packed Lunch.

It comes as Nina recently announced she had an 'official new title' following a cheeky quip from a fan.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "The Pastie Barm Lady…love her."

Nina quickly spotted the message and replied with two laughing emojis before retweeting it on her own Twitter account.

Reposting the fan's tweet, she quipped: "Please use my official title from now on. Thanks."

It appears that the social media user was referring to Nina's comment about pasties that she made during a recent appearance on BBC Breakfast.
