Piers Morgan would rather eat own testicles than appear on Im A Celebrity

We can be pretty certain Piers Morgan won't be amongst the campmates when I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs next year.

The TalkTV presenter – who hit the headlines this week following his explosive interview with Cristiano Ronaldo – took to Twitter to tell the ITV show's presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly in no uncertain terms that he wouldn't be heading to the jungle any time soon.

Earlier in the evening the Geordie pair had joked on air that footballer Ronaldo could be a potential contestant following his departure from Manchester United, before Piers' name sprung to Ant's mind.

"Piers Morgan… now there's a campmate I'd love to see," Dec followed up.

Ant then quipped in reference to a Bushtucker Trial: "Piers Morgan… see you next year, kidda. Eat this ball!"

Tweeting a clip of their conversation, Piers later wrote: "Thanks lads ⁦@antanddec but on balance I’d rather eat my own testicles."

Twitter users were quick to reply, agreeing it would be good to see the 57-year old former Good Morning Britain presenter take part, with one writing: "People would pay to watch that."

A second commented: "I did tweet you the other day suggesting you went in! Go on! Just think of the viewing figures ! TV Gold!! Go on!!!" While a third added: "I'd like to see you in for the interesting conversation you'd have please do it."

In the same instalment of the show, meanwhile, Ant and Dec also pleaded with EastEnders actor Danny Dyer to sign up.

The pair were reporting live from the I’m A Celeb jungle when the conversation turned to the Mick Carter actor.

Ant recoiled in glee and shouted: “Wouldn’t that be brilliant! This is a shout out for Danny Dyer, next year – name your price!”

Dec sat beside him and said: “That would be amazing!”
