Riverdale season five has watched the Core Four become young adults, taking on serious real-life issues that have affected many viewers during their own lives. From PTSD and financial woe, to divorce and family drama, the Netflix and The CW show has become more relatable than ever following the seven-year time jump. Actor KJ Apa who plays Archie Andrews is also experiencing another life milestone as we speak.

Is KJ Apa going to be a dad?
Yes, the 24-year-old Riverdale star is soon going to be a father as his girlfriend Clara Berry is pregnant.
The couple revealed the news earlier this year via their Instagram pages with Apa simply sharing a picture of them with Berry’s pregnant belly on display.
The 27-year-old French model then shared another picture of herself with a “cooking” emoji to signify the saying of having a “bun in the oven”.
If the pictures weren’t enough to tell the story, Apa made it crystal clear by replying to her post: “She’s pregnant btw.”

Many of Apa’s co-stars took to social media to wish the pair congratulations.
This included the likes of Charles Melton, Madelaine Petsch, Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart.
Actress Vanessa Morgan, who portrays Toni Topaz, also wrote: “River’s soon to be bestie.”
The 29-year-old star gave birth to her and White Sox pitcher and estranged husband Michael Kopech’s son River back in January.

Speaking to Australian Men’s Health about the pregnancy, Apa described how excited he was for his unborn child’s arrival.
He said: “I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life, other than the fact that I want to be a father.
“It’s a lonely place, this industry. Human interactions are no longer the same for me.
“I’m searching. I’m searching for genuine relationships with people who genuinely care about me and who I care about, not because of who I am or who they are.”

He even mentioned quitting the entertainment industry at the prospect of starting a family.
Apa added: “I look around and I’m like, ‘Wait, what’s the point of all this if you can’t share it with anyone other than yourself and your friends?’
“It becomes meaningless. I’d be willing to drop acting and all of this if I had a beautiful family. If I had to do it, I would do it.”
Could it be that Apa would no longer want to be in Riverdale as he begins the next chapter in his life?
Only time will tell if the red-headed actor will consider leaving the show after his and Berry’s baby is born.
Apa will once again star in Riverdale’s latest episode The Return of the Pussycats.
This episode will air on The CW tonight, Wednesday, September 8, and tomorrow, Thursday, September 9, on Netflix.
The synopsis reads: “After going MIA during the middle of her world tour, Josie McCoy returns to Riverdale unexpectedly.
“Veronica gets creative after a surprise visit from her old friend Alexandra Cabot.
“Toni steps in to help Tabitha and Veronica land a deal.”
Riverdale is available to watch on The CW and Netflix.
