Sharon Osbourne's axe from The Talk was disgusting – she was cancelled for just having an opinion, insists Piers Morgan
PIERS Morgan has called US chat show The Talk's decision to axe close pal Sharon Osbourne 'disgusting'.
The Talk TV presenter, 57, has leapt to her defence after she was "cancelled for just having an opinion".
In March 2021, Sharon left the CBS show after her public support for Piers during a racism debate wasn't well received.
Sharon had enjoyed at 10-year run on The Talk, which Piers stated was "a show that she loved and was the star of".
However, she now has her own TV show on News UK's brand new network, Talk TV, which launches on April 25.
Speaking exclusively to TV Mag, Piers expressed his disgust at CBS for cancelling Sharon, 69, because she supported his right to have an opinion.
He said: "I’m particularly delighted about that [Sharon's new show on Talk TV] because Sharon got cancelled from her show The Talk in America after 10 years, a show that she loved and was the star of, because she tweeted her support for my right to have an opinion.

"She didn’t even agree with the opinion, she just said I was entitled to it, which by the way I was."
Piers explained that at the time, Sharon was "accused of being a racist sympathiser, as if somehow me saying I don’t believe Meghan Markle makes me racist, which again is complete nonsense.
"What happened to me was bad, what happened to Sharon was disgusting," added Piers.
He stated that "she was basically made unemployable" and that he is "delighted Talk TV has offered her a new birth".
