Susanna Reid hosts Good Morning Britain alone in ITV presenter shake-up
Susanna Reid hosted ITV's Good Morning Britain on her own on 30 March amid another presenter shake-up.
The 51 year old, who recently revealed her chic new hairstyle, is usually joined by a roulette of different co-anchors, including Richard Madeley, 65, Ben Shephard, 47, and Adil Ray, 47, amongst others.
Different presenters have been hosting the programme alongside her every morning during the weekdays after her former colleague Piers Morgan, 57, made his dramatic exit in 2021 after a row with Alex Beresford, 41.
However, today she appeared on the show on her own and neglected to address the reason behind it, instead focusing on the news before eventually being joined Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis for a cost of living special.
Fans were quick to question the sudden change as they flocked to Twitter to speak out on it. One person asked: "Why is Susanna on her own? #GMB".
"Susanna on her own this morning.. #GMB Thank F**k for small mercies….!!" another shared.
While a third added: "So much of a calmer programme without Richard – it’s nice to see Susanna going Solo – can’t stand Richard on the programme afraid to say – it’s nice to see a calmness back on the TV."
It comes just days after Susanna and Richard clashed on the programme over Will Smith hitting comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022.
The hosts began the ITV morning news programme on Monday 28 March with a reference to the biggest awards show of the season which saw Hollywood actor Will, 53, lose his cool over a joke he made about his 50 year old wife Jada, who has alopecia, and her shaved head.
He then returned to his seat and warned the 57 year old comedian: "Keep my wife's name out of your f*****g mouth."

Reflecting and watching the scene at the same time, Susanna began: "Obviously you can see he was furious about what was said, and I'm not defending the joke, but really? Now? We're in 2022?
"It's ok to get up on stage and hit somebody?"
Passionate about the situation, Richard all but cut off his co-presenter as he declared: "I'm not defending it either. It's clearly not ok but it happened, and once it's happened you have to analyse the motives that lay behind it.

As Susanna turned subdued, Richard continued: "And what I'm trying to suggest is that maybe, although you can say it was wrong, and he could be charged with an offence presumably, was it something you would say was understandable under the heat of the moment?"
"I understand that he did it. I just don't think it's ok that he did it, and I love Will Smith," Susanna shot back.
