Tom Holland Confirmed for One More Spider-Man Movie, Channing Tatum Set for Magic Mike 3
The current Peter Parker depicter will return for one more Spidey film after ‘No Way Home’ while the ‘Magic Mike’ actor will reprise his stripper role in the third installment.
AceShowbiz –Tom Holland will he swinging around as Spider-Man for at least one more movie following the release of the upcoming “No Way Home”.
The new film will be the Brit’s third solo outing as the superhero, while he also appeared as Spider-Man in two “Avengers” films – and now it appears his term as the webslinger has been extended.
Amid fan fears Holland will be stepping down as Spider-Man/Peter Parker after “No Way Home”, producer Amy Pascal – the former head of Sony Pictures – insists that’s not the plan.
“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel…,” she tells IndieWire. “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”
Meanwhile, Spider-Man fans crashed movie websites on Monday (29Nov21) as they rushed to get hold of tickets for “No Way Home”, which will be released on 17 December (21) in the U.S.
In separate movie news, Channing Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, and writer Reid Carolin are teaming up again for another “Magic Mike” movie.
Tatum will reprise his stripper character Mike Lane for the franchise’s third film, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance“, which Soderbergh will direct from a Carolin script.
The first two “Magic Mike” films grossed almost $300 million (£225.7 million), and the franchise has spawned a successful stage show, “Magic Mike Live“, which launched in Las Vegas, and will tour North America next year (22).
The live shows have also inspired the upcoming HBO Max reality competition series “Finding Magic Mike“, which premieres on 16 December (21).
The films are based on Tatum’s life as a stripper before his acting career took off.
