War erupts behind the scenes of The Greatest Dancer as panel turn on Oti Mabuse

War has erupted on the new series of The Greatest Dancer.

And it’s all because of Oti Mabuse.

After all the dancers have auditioned, the panel of team captains – including Oti, Cheryl, Glee star Matthew Morrison and newcomer Todrick Hall – compete to choose which ones they will mentor.

But it seems Strictly star Oti – who won the first series in February – is playing dirty.

Hitmaker Cheryl, inset, revealed: “There were some rows. Oti tries to hide the photos of some of the people who auditioned earlier so you’d forget about them.

“She’s a dirty player. I’m just being honest.”

Todrick agreed and even branded Oti “aggressive” at times. He added: “She was stealing all the headshots. Last year may have been her year because she won. Now it’s all about Squad Todrick.”

The panel also claimed Oti became hysterical and over-emotional when it came to picking the best for her team.

Cheryl said: “She went into full meltdown.”

And Todrick added: “It was very stressful. We had to stop production for a while and pick her off the ground.

“It was a serious situation. In comparison, the rest of us all had an easy time.”

Oti insists she enjoyed herself on the show, adding: “This is better than season one. I feel very privileged.”

The winner will bag £50,000 and the chance to be a guest dancer on Strictly 2020.

● The show is back on BBC One on Saturday, January 4, at 7pm.
