What Eliza Limehouse has been up to since Southern Charm
In August 2020, Eliza Limehouse announced her exit from Southern Charm after one season as a cast member and longtime friend of the show. The Charleston native told People, “It’s been a thrill to be part of Southern Charm, but with a wedding to plan on top of my busy work life, it’s best for me to focus on what’s next.”
Despite her short tenure on the series, Eliza said, “I walk away from my reality TV ride with positive feelings, and no regrets.” She made quite the splash during the Season 6 premiere episode when she shaded Kathryn Dennis at a dinner Patricia Altschul hosted. She was maligned by fans for bringing Ashley Jacobs to Southern Charm events, even though those appearances were probably producer-driven. Although viewers didn’t see much of Eliza during her time on the series, she had a lot going on. In fact, she lives a very full life, both personally and professionally. She works for her family business, Limehouse Properties, which manages and renovates hotels in Charleston. She also has a jewelry line called Snaffle Bit Bracelet and a candle business called Plantation Candle Company.
In February 2020, she announced her engagement to Mark “Struthers” McBride, Jr. after a year of dating. The reality TV alum told People, “This is the happiest I’ve ever been.” And life just kept getting better for Eliza, who seems to be thriving in her post-Southern Charm life.
Eliza Limehouse's family is growing
In October 2020, Eliza Limehouse revealed to People that she married Mark “Struthers” McBride, Jr. (pictured right) in a private ceremony that took place at her grandparents’ estate in South Carolina. Eliza shared, “The day was perfect.” The former Southern Charm cast member revealed, “It was just me and Struthers. We didn’t invite any family — we wanted the day to be completely about us and our love for each other. It was so incredible.”
They previously discussed getting married in a small ceremony to avoid the stress of planning a larger event. The coronavirus pandemic made it easy for Eliza and Struthers to have their dream wedding, with Eliza remarking, “It felt like fate.” Although there weren’t any other people at their nuptials, Eliza’s horses had cameos in their wedding photos. What’s more? The duo hopes to have a big party once the coronavirus pandemic ends. By then, they’ll have lots to celebrate. A week after announcing her marriage, Eliza shared her pregnancy news with People, admitting, “I was really surprised!” Even so, she said, “I always knew I wanted to be a mom.” She also shared that they are expecting a baby boy.
Eliza never delivered any iconic moments on Southern Charm, but viewers will always be grateful to her for bringing Ashley Jacobs around to provide some drama. In real life, she seems to be as far away from the chaos as possible, which is not the best fit for reality TV.
