When does Marlon get out of prison in Emmerdale?

Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) imprisonment in Emmerdale has both the villagers and viewers at home reeling as the Woolpack chef is left languishing in jail for a crime he didn’t commit.

In tonight’s episode, things are set to go from bad to worse for the doting dad, as his beloved daughter April takes off after learning from Bob (Tony Audenshaw) that Mandy has been lying to her about children not being allowed to visit people in prison.

Rhona (Zoe Henry) has been desperately trying to get to the bottom of who murdered Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), but with the real culprit Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) still on the loose, will she discover the truth in time to get Marlon out of prison quickly?

When does Marlon get out of prison in Emmerdale?

Despite the fact that Rhona and the viewers at home know that Marlon is innocent and did not kill Graham, it doesn’t look like he will be returning to a life of freedom with his family in the Dales any time soon.

Speaking about how long Marlon’s imprisonment will continue for, actor Mark revealed: ‘There are points when he’s almost accepting of his fate, where he’s ready to give up. It’s not going to be a quick resolution for him.’

When asked if Marlon will be returning to the village any time soon, he said: ‘No, not for a little while, actually.’

So it looks like there’s more drama to come for Marlon, April, Rhona and the rest of the villagers as the innocent chef’s chance to get out of prison remains unclear for now.

Emmerdale continues tonight, Tuesday 4 February, at 7pm on ITV.
