An interview with Dannii Minogue has resurfaced after 17 years, in which she labelled Russell Brand a \u2018vile predator\u2019.<\/p>\n
The quotes have come to light again following a series of shocking allegations made against Brand, 48, with multiple women accusing him of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse over a seven-year period.<\/p>\n
A Channel 4 Dispatches special this weekend went into harrowing detail about the alleged incidents following a joint investigation by the broadcaster, The Sunday Times, and The Times.<\/p>\n
One individual is said to have been just 16 years of age when Brand \u2018shoved his penis down her throat\u2019.<\/p>\n
The Get Him to the Greek actor has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, having taken a step back from showbiz, and is now known for his podcasting and controversial YouTube videos.<\/p>\n
Four of the women who accused Brand say their assaults took place between 2006 and 2013 when Brand was at the height of his fame, having secured jobs on BBC radio stations, hosting Channel 4 shows, and acting in Hollywood movies.<\/p>\n

In 2006, Australian pop star Minogue, 51, made comments that seemed to unknowingly foreshadow the accusations that would come out about Brand almost 20 years later.<\/p>\n
Speaking to\u00a0The Mirror at the Michele Watches Summer Party, she said of Brand: \u2018He is completely crazy and a bit of a vile predator. <\/p>\n
\u2018I certainly don\u2019t think he has cured his sex addiction, that\u2019s for sure.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018He wouldn\u2019t take no for an answer,\u2019 she added. \u2018He always goes that step too far.<\/p>\n
\u2018Never quite far enough to slap his face, but usually too far.\u2019<\/p>\n
Minogue continued: \u2018He\u2019s obviously very intelligent \u2013 but he wears more make-up than I do. <\/p>\n
\u2018Normally I love guys with eyeliner on. It can be very sexy, but not on Russell. Absolutely no way, never, he\u2019s just not my type.\u2019<\/p>\n

Minogue added that she was \u2018told he got sacked from MTV in the past for wearing an Osama bin Laden costume to work the day after September 11.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018I couldn\u2019t believe that I\u2019d just agreed to be interviewed by someone who would do something like that, it really unnerved me,\u2019 she shared.<\/p>\n
\u2018And then throughout the whole interview, he kept making shocking remarks that I can\u2019t even repeat. Just uttering the words would make me blush.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
The interview in question was Minogue\u2019s appearance on Brand\u2019s MTV chatshow 1 Leicester Square.<\/p>\n
Aged 34, she was booked to promote her album The Hits & Beyond but said Brand chose an interview tactic that left her uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
Minogue later said Brand \u2013 aged 31 at the time \u2013 had leched over her \u2018fabulous breasts\u2019.<\/p>\n
According to Minogue, Brand also followed her down a corridor and offered his phone number to her.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brand is yet to speak out in response to the Dispatches film made about him, in which alleged victims (or actors in their place to protect anonymity), as well as past colleagues, spoke of their interactions with him.<\/p>\n
He did, however, make remarks to a sold-out crowd at his comedy gig, having been on stage at the time the Channel 4 special was airing on millions of screens around the country.<\/p>\n
Greeted by cheers and applause, Brand performed a set to thousands of people at the Troubadour Wembley Park theatre in north-west London.<\/p>\n
Audience members told the PA news agency that Brand expressed his love for his audience and told them he hoped that they \u2018appreciate\u2019 that there were certain things that he could not talk about during the performance.<\/p>\n
Two days ago ahead of the explosive allegations, he said in his social media video: \u2018These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies. <\/p>\n
\u2018And as I\u2019ve written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous. Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that.<\/p>\n

\u2018Then almost too transparent, and I\u2019m being transparent about it now as well. And to see that transparency metastasised into something criminal that I absolutely deny makes me question, is there another agenda at play?<\/p>\n
\u2018Particularly when we\u2019ve seen coordinated media attacks before, like with Joe Rogan, when he dared to take a medicine that the mainstream media didn\u2019t approve of, and we saw a spate of headlines from media outlets across the world using the same language.\u2019<\/p>\n
The Metropolitan Police are now encouraging any other potential victims to come forward. <\/p>\n
In the aftermath of the allegations,\u00a0Deadline\u00a0reported that a spokesperson for the force said in a statement: \u2018We are aware of media reporting of a series of allegations of sexual assault.<\/p>\n
\u2018At this time, we have not received any reports in relation to this. If anyone believes they have been the victim of a sexual assault, no matter how long ago it happened, we would encourage them to contact police.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
