<\/p>\nI'M A Celeb star Josie Gibson has revealed the terrifying reason she was rushed to hospital after her stint Down Under.<\/p>\n
The TV presenter, 38, yesterday let slip her secret A&E dash just days after leaving jungle.<\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
She told viewers on Thursday's instalment of This Morning that she paid a visit to the hospital last Friday.<\/p>\n
Speaking during a guest appearance on ITV's Loose Women today, Josie opened up on her surprising ordeal.<\/p>\n
She told the panel: "When I came out I was on the flight coming home and I just started to feel really unwell, I was shivering. And then when I got back I had severe tonsilitus. I couldn't breathe.<\/p>\n
"So I got taken to hospital on Friday. They gave me lots of steroids to bring all the swelling down. It was a bit touch whether I could have made This Morning."<\/p>\n
She thanked the NHS staff as she praised them for their hard work. <\/p>\n She said: "I just want to thank everyone at the RUH in Bath without you I would not have been able to do This Morning without them. <\/p>\n "So thank you to all the doctors and nurses."<\/p>\n She she had been "hanging on by a thread" some days during her recovering but was glad to be home.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n It comes after Josie revealed she will be spending Christmas at a luxury hotel this year.<\/p>\n The presenter spent Christmas Day with Alison Hammond last year, but this time she's splashing out on some much needed rest and relaxation.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/newspress-collage-1a8b1so4g-1703085344810.jpg\")
