Kerry Katona desperate for daughter Lilly to go on Love Island
Kerry Katona has expressed her desire for her daughter, Lilly, to take a shot at reality TV fame by joining the popular ITV2 show Love Island.
Appearing on the Not My Bagg podcast, the Atomic Kitten singer opened up about her hopes for Lilly to venture into the spotlight and create her own path in the world of entertainment.
With a successful career that spans decades, having begun her own career at the tender age of 14, Kerry shared that she feels it's high time for her to step back and retire from the world of showbiz.
The mother of five shared her fervent wish for Lilly to seize the opportunity and embrace the opportunity that Love Island could offer.
Speaking to hosts Joe and George Baggs, Kerry joked: "I'm trying to get our Lilly to do Love Island. I’ve worked enough, it's time for me to retire. Get out there and work. I was working from the age of 14."
Kerry has previously opened up on how stripping off for subscribers to the X-rated website has helped to make her a ‘billionaire’, saying that she would do “anything for money” and that selling pictures of her feet on OnlyFans had helped her buy “two Lamborghinis”.
One of the qualities that Kerry notes in her daughter is her unwavering authenticity. Similar to her mother, Lilly exudes confidence, unbothered by the judgments of others.
Imagining Lilly on the set of Love Island, Kerry painted a vibrant picture of what her daughter would be like on the show. "She'd be jumping in the pool, rolling a cigarette, shaving her armpits," Kerry quipped with a chuckle.
In a light-hearted moment, Lilly joined the conversation and, alongside host George, entertained the possibility of both appearing on Love Island as bombshell contestants.
As the interview continued, Kerry delved into her own perspective on participating in reality TV shows having won the 2004 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and placing runner up in the 2011 series of Celebrity Big Brother.
She shared: "When I get asked to do these TV shows, I think wow, what an adventure, and that's why I do it.”
Kerry's enthusiasm for her daughter's potential journey was palpable. "For me, I'm very lucky and very blessed that I get to do these amazing adventures. It's a once-in-a-lifetime," she continued, expressing her own gratitude for the opportunities she's had.
Playfully, she urged her daughter to take a chance on Love Island and make the most of the adventure, as well as the potential financial rewards.
Kerry has five children, daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue, from a previous marriage to Brian McFadden, Heidi and Max from her marriage to Mark Croft, and daughter Dylan-Jorge Rose, from her marriage to George Kay.
