The Chase's Mark Labbett looked unrecognisable as he showed off his new 10st weight loss in a cool and casual outfit.

Mark, known as The Beast on the quiz show The Chase, donned a simple grey t-shirt with some black trousers and black trainers. The TV quizzer, 58, appeared thrilled to be having his picture taken as he looked more toned than ever.

Mark has been losing the weight gradually over the past few years and recently denied that he had a gastric band fitted to help him shed the pounds.

Featuring on Loose Women alongside his girlfriend Hayley Palmer, 41, Mark revealed that he lost his appetite after having "covid a few times".

He revealed on the ITV daytime show: "My appetite is nothing like it once was. Get one of your doctors to check me for a gastric band scar. They won't find it."

Although the star previously admitted to The Sun that he was tempted to get the gastric band fitted, he decided to go in a different direction to help him reach his goals.

He told the publication: "I'm not really trying to diet, I'm just being sensible, people say you've had the gastric sleeve or band, and I haven't. I was tempted by the gastric band but a good friend of mine who's a GP, said my problem is sugar, I have a sweet tooth."

Explaining that he lost the weight the "old fashioned way", Mark said: "A gastric band is useless for me because sugar metabolises quite quickly, so I've done it the old fashion way by eating a bit less and I've tried to go to the gym."

The ITV favourite has managed to shift a massive 10-stone since making the decision to embark on a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Mark shared a snap to Instagram earlier this week where he took a selfie smiling in the mirror, showing off his slim physique. He captioned the snap: "About to turn into the Beast 🙂 #thechase".

The TV quizzer was quickly flooded by complimentary messages by fans on his weight loss achievements.

One fan penned: "Mark, your weight loss is amazing….you look great and I miss seeing you on The Chase here in the States. Enjoy your day!", while another said: "Wow you look amazing well done Mark."

A third added: "Mark you look so happy and it’s nice to see all the best."
