Amanda Knox announces she's pregnant with second child

Amanda Knox is pregnant with her second child, with husband Christopher Robinson.

The 36-year-old confirmed her news on Instagram, sharing a snap of her growing baby bump.

Alongside the upload, which showed her relaxing on a bench in a floral jumpsuit, she quipped: ‘”Pregspreading” @oxfordenglishdictionary.’

This marks the second child for the happy couple, after they welcomed daughter Eureka in 2021.

Fans were living for the news and flooded the comments section with messages of congratulations.

‘Omg Amanda!!!! I am over the frickin moon for you!!!! Cannot wait to meet the newest addition [sic],’ one said.

‘I love seeing you thrive. Congratulations,’ another agreed.

A follower penned: ‘Oh this is AMAZING news & a freaking AMAZING pic!! Congratulations to you, you are beyond deserving of SO much happiness.’

‘Being a parent is the best, baby number two is a whole new adventure. Enjoy,’ an Instagram user agreed.

As a commenter added: ‘Ahhhh wowwww this is awesome, Amanda!!! Huge congrats!!!’

Amanda was convicted – and later acquitted – of the murder of her former roommate, Meredith Kercher, in 2007, while they lived in Italy.

She later met Chris in 2015, with the couple announcing their engagement in November, 2018.

They secretly tied the knot weeks later before throwing a second ceremony for their friends and family in February, 2020.

The following year, they confirmed that they would be welcoming their first child, Eureka, in an episode of her Labyrinths podcast.

In a candid chat with the New York Times after the arrival of her daughter, she explained that she initially kept the news quiet because of her past experience in the spotlight.

‘I’m still nervous about the paparazzi bounty on her head,’ she told the outlet.

Sharing a photo of Eureka on her Instagram page, Amanda explained that she would be keeping the toddler’s identity completely private in future.

‘Since my exoneration, I’ve struggled to reclaim my identity and protect the people I love from being exploited as tabloid content,’ she said in a lengthy caption.

‘It’s not easy, and I often feel like I’m trying to invent good choices out of bad whole cloth. I know that I cannot 100% protect my daughter from the kind of treatment I’ve suffered, but I’m doing the best I can. Which is why this will be the only picture of her I will ever share on social media.

‘I’m so grateful to everyone who has wished @emceecarbon and I well on our journey to parenthood. Thank you for believing in us.’
